Photoshoot Rental Space is a 6,200 sq. ft. townhouse on Manhattan’s Upper West Side where historic charm meets contemporary design. Built in 1890 and once home to a neighborhood synagogue, this three-story brownstone has been transformed by O’Neill Rose Architects into a peaceful, architecturally refined retreat. Inside, you’ll find an artfully curated blend of minimalist interiors, mid-century modern furnishings, and museum-grade pieces—from 1960s–70s New York artists to ancient Egyptian and Pre-Columbian artifacts.
Sunlight streams through 11-foot ceilings, illuminating inviting spaces like a warm library nook, a spa-style sauna and steam room, a fully equipped private theater, and a bright open-concept kitchen. Outside, a secluded garden with custom Cortez steel walls and a wisteria-draped pergola offers an oasis of calm and greenery rarely found in the city.
Designed with versatility in mind, Photoshoot Rental Space is perfect for editorial shoots, film screenings, brand activations, and intimate events. Your custom quote will include the space rental based on your rental activity and number of guests, as well as a standard cleaning fee and a Casa Manager fee. We will send you the quote prior to booking the space.
We will provide the location of the space once a space visit has been organized or the booking has been confirmed. Otherwise, we can provide the cross streets for reference.
Our pricing is tiered based on two main factors: your guest count and the type of booking (production, meeting, event, or showroom). As the number of guests go up, the hourly rate will slightly increase. The starting rates may also vary based on the type of booking. All variations in pricing is to dark ensure that all risks and management are covered in proportion to the complexity and size of your booking. We will always disclose all fees associated for you to review prior to confirming a booking with you.
Yes – we require a COI for all productions, offsite meetings, and events. For Private Events, our Booking Team can assist you in obtaining a cost-effective COI for your event. We have worked extensively with a couple of online platforms that offer reliable and reasonably-priced Certificates of Insurance. As the person renting a space, you will have a series of legal responsibilities by default such as preventing any personal injury or property damage liabilities. Having a COI can help you protect yourself against potential liabilities as a space renter.
Unfortunately, Space is not ADA-accessible.
Yes, we can coordinate full catering for your booking. Our Concierge team can also help you coordinate additional rentals or activities for your event or offsite, or coffee and snacks for the crew. We work with a hyper-diverse pool of local vendors, for varying budgets. It’s part of our mission.
Art moving must be approved by our team, and some pieces may need to be moved by professional art handlers (which we can coordinate). If your shoot requires consideration for the artwork or if you have specific shots planned that may involve moving art pieces, we kindly request that you verify the feasibility of moving them, and the current status of the art pieces with us in advance and/or arrange for a preliminary scout.

Yes – you may provide food yourself or hire catering for your event, meeting, or production. If you need assistance with this or any additional rentals and services, please notify your Booking Manager of your interest in our concierge services.
