Performance Space New York is an intimate Midtown East event venue that offers a flexible, performance-ready space well-suited for private events, corporate gatherings, live performances, rehearsals, screenings, and creative productions. Designed with a speakeasy-style vibe, the venue pairs a professional stage setup with a stylish bar and lounge, making it appropriate for both formal and social functions.
The space consists of two connected rooms available as a full buyout. The main showroom features a raised performance stage with professional lighting, a house PA system with Bluetooth, several microphones, and a baby grand piano available for use. The room can be configured for seated events, standing receptions, or cleared layouts, with all furniture being fully removable and reconfigurable. Seating options include café tables, standard chairs, and banquette seating along the wall.
The bar and lounge area offers a welcoming environment for cocktail receptions, networking, or breakout sessions. It features a fully operational bar, bar stools, café tables, banquette seating, overhead glassware racks, and warm ambient lighting. This area functions well as a reception space before events or as a secondary lounge during performances and presentations.
The venue comes equipped with Wi-Fi, multiple TVs with HDMI input, adjustable color-changing and dimmable lighting, and a DJ/tech setup. Outside food is permitted with no restrictions, and BYOB is also allowed. Optional staffing, including bartenders, event hosts, and door/security personnel, is available as an add-on when required. Setup and breakdown are managed by the venue.
With elevator and stair access, street-level load-in, and a central Midtown East location near major subway lines, the space is easy for guests and vendors to reach. Rules:
2-hour minimum booking. Full venue buyout required (both rooms are included with every booking). All event types are allowed. Outside food/catering is allowed (no restrictions). BYOB is allowed. Alcohol service must comply with local laws. No smoking inside the building. A designated outdoor smoking area is available. Furniture and equipment may be moved or removed, but must be returned to original placement at the end of the booking. Guests may use the stage, microphones, PA system, TVs (HDMI), and piano during the booking. Setup and breakdown are handled by the venue unless otherwise arranged. Add-on staffing is available: bartender, host, and door/security (additional cost; may be required depending on the event). The venue has security cameras in common areas for safety and property protection. No cameras are located in restrooms or private areas. Guests must keep the space tidy and remove all personal items by the end of the booking. Any damages must be reported immediately and may be charged against the security deposit.
